Have you ever had a powerful dream that left you wondering what it meant? Each night is a new opportunity to explore this vast world that we retreat to for several hours. What is it that is taking place during this time? Have you ever experienced a fragment of a dream that followed with you throughout the day or longer? Perhaps it was an image or simply a feeling that you could not shake. Dreams are a gateway to that aspect of ourselves that we may not have conscious awareness of and yet in looking at their content, we integrate it and become more whole as our awareness of who we are grows.

In this 8 week course beginning April 9, we will be exploring the world of dreams as a group. This group will meet each week to work on one or two dreams that are brought to the group. We will use Jungian archetypes, dream work from Jeremy Taylor and Swedenborgian theology to assist in dream interpretation. Ultimately, it is the dreamer who is the final authority on what the dream means. And do not forget to start a dream journal if you do not already have one! Write your dreams down on paper so they can be remembered. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact either the Ministry Coordinator Laura Castro at 310-377-7919 x304 or Rev. David Brown davidb@wayfarerschapel.org. This class will be limited to 12 persons and will be closed after the second week of class to provide continuity.

“’Working with dreams’ means remembering and exploring the dreams from sleep with an eye to their deeper meanings. Each one of us is uniquely blind to the deeper meanings of our own dreams, and dream work helps us see what amazing gifts are there, just below the surface of ‘manifest content’ and obvious appearance.” –Jeremy Taylor http://www.jeremytaylor.com/
