Folk Music and Dance from Caucasus Georgia

Mountainous Caucasus Georgia had one of the world’s most ancient and arresting three part harmony singing traditions. Zedashe sings folks songs, love songs, ballads and ritual circle dances. Zedashe members are also trained as dancers who will show off their intricate footwork. The Zedashe Ensemble is unquestionably one of the top ensembles in the world performing the unique vocal music of Georgia.

Crooner, Alistair Tober has performed to sold out houses internationally and locally at The Kodak Theatre, The Carpenter Performing Arts Center and The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. He has performed with Broadway legends and has sung with platinum recording artists including, Jack Black, Taylor Dane, Dru Hill, Katherine McPhee and JR Richards. T.V. credits include, Dexter, Passions, Days of Our Lives, American Dreams, and films, Spiderman 2. Alistair will be joined by well known Jazz pianist, composer and recording artist Josh Nelson, who has performed with Natalie Cole and Queen Latifah, and has worked with Clint Eastwood and other film and TV projects. Donation $20.
