Worship Service at 10AM: “What in the World Is Ecumenical Ministry?”
November 25, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Reverend Robert McCluskey
“Over 2,500 years ago, the prophet Isaiah spoke of a house of prayer for all people. Today, despite many gains, that image remains largely unrealized. For over 65 years, Wayfarers Chapel has striven to contribute to the work of ecumenical and interfaith relations. Taking our cue from the theological writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, we offer a renewed understanding of Christianity; one which explicitly emphasizes the unity of all religions. This Sunday, we will look at the puzzling problem of religious division, the Second Coming as a psycho-historical event, and the experience of paradox.”
