Help us ensure our mission for 2025 with an evening of Fall inspired garden fesh bites\, tasty sweets\, opportunities to donate to our organization and activities for children all in our beautiful urban garden in the heart of downtown San Pedro. \nAt Feed and be Fed we care for people\, the planet\, and the future by practicing and teaching about: \n-Organic\, sustainable urban farming\n-Food Justice: there is more than enough for everyone -Composting of food waste\n-Regeneration of degraded landscapes\n… and by providing a sanctuary for renewal of the Spirit. \nOur History: \nFeed and be Fed was founded in 2015 by The Garden Church as a non-profit garden. Our many projects here in the port town of San Pedro are unified by three basic principles: \nCreating sustainable growing practices that model our local habitat Composting as a means of reducing food waste\nCreating community through education\, food and nature \nWe have two locations. The Garden is located in the heart of downtown San Pedro on 6th Street and is home to The Garden Church and the majority of our combined events and activities. \nOur second location\, The Farm is in partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District in Northwest San Pedro at the district’s Vic and Bonnie Christensen Science Center. We are part of the revitalization of this 3.5-acre plot.

Yet in May careful disassembly began on Wayfarers\, and by early July the entire structure was crated up for safekeeping. This was in response to a landslide that began moving at a rapid pace\, prompting the closure of Wayfarers in February. Moving at a rate of approximately six-to-nine inches per week\, the landslide underneath Wayfarers was increasingly causing damage and total destruction was inevitable without immediate intervention.
