How to Execute Your Wedding Like a Bachelorette
Do you accept this rose (ring)?
Not only is it wedding season, but it’s Bachelorette season! Last Monday night, Bachelorette fans tuned in to watch ABC’s Season 13 premiere- we can’t wait to watch Rachel Lindsay’s journey to find love! Our favorite Bachelorette to date, however, has to be Season 9’s Desiree Hartsock. We were fortunate enough to watch her wedding unfold right before our eyes, here at Wayfarers! With a background in bridal styling, Desiree knows a thing or two about the realm of weddings. We’ve curated a list of wedding to-do’s to inspire your dream wedding worthy of a Bachelorette! Keep reading to see Desiree’s dreams come true.
An outdoor, California wedding makes for the perfect wedding setting any time of the year. Desiree chose Wayfarer’s Chapel to say her I-do’s for its oceanside view and rustic, whimsical feel. The glass panels created openness so her 100 guests could admire Desiree and Chris tying the knot. Another venue plus? You get the feeling of being outdoors with the light shining through the chapel walls, but still maintain the traditional chapel setting. Photo-taking in the beautiful chapel will also be a breeze, but see for yourself.
If you’re trying to reach Bachelorette-status, you know Neil Lane is the only choice for wedding bling. Desiree and Chris opted for rose gold bands, hers featuring a 4-carat cushion-cut diamond, of course.
Desiree’s dress dreams finally became reality when she wore her own co-designed gown. The lace and mesh detail is simple and chic, allowing the bride to truly shine on her special day. But why wear one dress, when you could wear two? For Desiree’s reception, she changed into a chiffon dress with vintage appeal. When it comes to bridesmaids dresses, it can be difficult to appease everyone’s style preferences. Take Desiree’s cue and allow your bridesmaids to pick from a few styles, but all be in the same color for a cohesive look. Your bridesmaids will feel confident and beautiful standing by your side.
Interestingly enough, red roses were not a part of the equation for the Bachelorette’s floral arrangements, per her request. Ranunculus, peonies and a variety of vines filled her bouquet, playing on an ivory and soft pink color scheme. Keep it consistent like Desiree and include woodsy elements in the tablescape at the reception to tie it all in.
There you have it! Be a Bachelorette-bride just like Desiree with these wedding wow-moments! Be sure to keep up with our blog every Friday for more wedding tips and stories.
