DREAM CLASS
11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Sundays
February 21 – March 28
Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean or what is trying to be communicated to you through them? Join us in exploring dream interpretation through the use of archetypal symbols and metaphors. Dreams always come to us in the service of love and wholeness and there are always multiple layers to them.
The class will meet at Wayfarers Chapel’s Visitors Center. An optional 15 minutes of Meditation/Reflection follows each session. After the second session, this class will be closed to new people in order to maintain the continuity of the established dream groups. Free Will Donation.
If you are interested, please leave your name and phone number with the Visitors Center attendant, 310-377-1650×2, or send an email to Rev. David Brown. From now and until class starts, you can prepare yourself by writing down any dreams you have. Recommended readings: “Living Labyrinth” by Jeremy Taylor, “Courageous Dreaming” by Alberto Villoldo, “Dream Tending” by Stephen Aizenstat, which can be purchased in the Visitors Center.
SWEDENBORG 101
With Rev. Dr. Jonathan Mitchell
It has been awhile since we’ve offered classes on the basics of the Swedenborgian theology that inspires our preaching here at the Chapel. If anyone is interested in taking such classes please let Rev. Jonathan know and we will find a time that works.
In the past we have offered an eight week course with the following topics:
1. Who are We?
2. Who is God?
3. Who is Jesus Christ?
4. How Should We Live Our Lives?
5. What Shall We Be After Death?
6. What is the Bible?
7. Who was Emanuel Swedenborg?
8. What is the Swedenborgian Church?
Many have taken these classes for personal enrichment. For those who wish, they also prepare you for confirmation and membership in the Swedenborgian Church. More info can be found on Rev. Jonathan’s sermon website . If you are interested in attending this class, please contact Rev. Dr. Jonathan Mitchell.
